CIS Annual Conference
Conference Art
CIS offers a big bouquet of thanks to the presenters, attendees and generous sponsors for making the 9th Annual Meeting and Risk Management Conference such a blooming success.

A record number of members attended the conference, held February 3-5 at the Embassy Suites, Tigard. The theme was “Reap What You Sow: Planting Seeds of Risk Management for Tomorrow’s Harvest.” Sessions and presentations gave members practical strategies for reducing risks, minimizing costs and maximizing the benefits of CIS membership.

Scott Derickson, Woodburn City Administrator, and Scott Russell, Woodburn Chief of Police, shared their experience of a bombing incident and its impact in the opening session, “The Flowering of a Community – Woodburn One Year Later.”

Members also enjoyed some inspirational entertainment and humorous insight from the Misty River band and comedian/author/closing speaker, Leigh Anne Jasheway-Bryant.
